Preliminary Rounds & RULES - Contestants have 33 seconds to play their best, fastest, loudest, or most outrageous guitar riff. Celebrity judges will critique your performance. This contest is not just for shredders as last years contest was won by Mitchell Green who overwhelmed the judges and audience with his classical guitar proficiency.

Contestants bring their own instrument. Show off your favorite electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, banjo, mandolin, or ukulele solo. We'll provide the amplifier and PA. Bring your own pedals and effects but keep it simple.

Four Finalists will be chosen from each of the three preliminary rounds. Contestants not chosen for the final round will be given the opportunity to come back next week, (or stay and spend lots of money at our store).

Final round contestants will be allowed up to 3 minutes and 33 seconds performance time with or without recorded accompaniment.

Fabulous prizes will once again be awarded including an Ibanez RG350DXWH, a Yamaha AE500BS, a ProTools recording package from M-Audio which includes an M-Audio Firewire Solo audio interface and ProTools M-Powered software, and a Gator Pedal Tote Effects Pedal Board and Case (pedals not included).
